Eloise is ONE! And what a beautiful one year old she is!
I can’t even believe that her first year around the sun has come + gone. She is truly such a bright light in our lives and I can’t even imagine life without our sweet Elle.
Eloise loves music–she will start to bop + dance as soon as she hears a beat drop. My girl. My most favourite dance move she has is when she puts both her arms up in the air + then does this super hilarious diaper squat move. It literally shatters my heart into a million pieces because I just can’t get enough. It’s too cute.
Sis has four top teeth + currently working on her top two molars. On the bottom, she has three front teeth + her bottom two molars are (finally) in. It’s pretty cute with her three bottom teeth, she looks like a pirate. I love it.
Her hair is growing in much thicker + I feel like her craddle cap is only just going away. And coming from a woman who loves to pick eveything, I really didn’t go buck on her head. I would oil it up and then slowly handle it–she definitely looks like Joe Pesci with her oiled up mullette. Ha. The best.
Our beautiful girl is a huge eater. She is obsessed with solid food and although she still nurses quite often, if Ellie sees food in front/near her, she will make the funniest little gurgle, drool, giggle-sound with her tongue sticking out—this is her way of communicating that she wants some of that goodness. Ha. It’s pretty funny. I was out the other day for a few hours and Aaron told me that she walked over to the pantry, made her little sound, grabbed a pouch (it’s at her level to grab!), and once Aaron opened it up, she went to town! Ha, our little independent girl. She literally wows me.
Eloise is rocking 12 month clothing + size 4 diapers. She is dainty but mighty. And have I mentioned that she’s freaking perfect?! Because she freaking is. I’ve said it before here and on my social media but goodness gracious, I never knew I needed a daughter until she arrived. I feel deeply grateful that she chose me to be her mama.
Eloise, my sweet darling girl, you love: nursing with mama, anything + everything with your daddy–you’re totally a daddy’s girl, playing with your brother, pointing and saying “cat”, whisper talking, pointing, dancing, eating all.the.food., clapping your hands, blowing + giving kisses, walking (and you’re actually so good at it, it’s incredible how fast you can move!), shaking your head no (and it’s actually the cutest thing in the world!), waving, saying “hi” “mama” “dada” and I think she’s going to start calling George “geeee”. You actually don’t hate the car so that has been a blessing. Oh, and you love bathtime. Like, so freaking much.
Sissie, my almost-brown-eyed girl, you do not love: having to wait for food/nursing/getting out of the car seat–basically, your patience skills need some work sister (ha!), having a toy taken from you (George!!!!), having your diaper changed (there are literally way too many other things you want to be doing!), and being in the carseat on a long drive.
Elle, you are such a beautiful soul + I thank my lucky stars for you. You have taught me so much in this last year and holy cow, my heart has just burst wide open with love for you. Stay sweet and kind my precious girl. I love you so very much.
