Phew! I am cutting it close with my past monthly must haves. Apologies, my friends! Life has become busier and busier what with the nicer weather + my quick little crawler/soon-to-be walking little dude.
I’ve been gearing up for George’s First Birthday and am working on a wish list (+ a gift guide for those sweet one year olds in our lives!), planning his party (#GBBsfirstfiesta), and trying not to have a bittersweet meltdown all at the same time.
In these past two months, I have watched George grow + bloom right before my eyes. He is on the move, enjoying more solid foods, playing independently, chatting up a storm, and being so dang cute all. the. time.
Alright, friends, here is it. Products that I loooooved for the past two months!
–Munchkin Snack Catcher: I was so over having puffs all over the car seat/the floor/the house/my life that I found this incredible Munchkin snack cup and knew it was going to be up there with my favourite products ever + it really really is. George is able to feed himself his puffs/cheerios and they are contained! He also loves to take out the snacks, giggle, and then shove them back in. Contained snacks and entertainment? Sign. Me. Up. Munchkin Snack Catcher
–EZ Squeezees: George is eating more solid foods and isn’t really munching on purees all that much, except for a fruit pouch in the morning for breakfast with cheerios (because y’all, it’s the morning and it’s easy and I’m snoozing with my eyes open) but I’ve noticed a lot of the puree pouches are heavy on fruits and I was struggling with getting GBB to snack on more veggies throughout the day. This is where these beauties come in. BPA-free and re-usable pouches are perfect to fill with pureed veggies (I like to put it in the fridge first and give it as a cold snack after nap!), or applesauce, yogurt, or if you decide to make your own baby food! Run, don’t walk! EZ Squeezees
–IKEA MULA Shape Sorter: As you know, George is just getting used to sitting in the car seat and not giving me heart attack. This IKEA shape sorter was my saving grace after a relatively long solo + baby IKEA trip. George played with it the whole way home and it has since become one of our favourite toys around here. So simple in design, so cute to look at, and we put everything in that little shape sorting house. I’ve saved the tops of the food pouches I’ve purchased over the last few months and we play with them + shove them in this house too! IKEA MULA Shape Sorter
–Honest Co. Sunscreen: Yep, you all know how I feel about this company + their sunscreen is used every single day! I’m constantly slathering GBB and all his rolls with this stuff. I like how natural it is, how it is fragrance-free, and how it is literally void of any fillers. Be sun safe, friends! Honest Co. Sunscreen
–Little Tikes Dino Cozy Coupe: This was on George’s First Birthday Wish List (I’ll post this soon, promise!) and Grandma decided to gift our little dude with it. He loves it! It is the cutest little green car with Dino spikes! Little Tikes cars make me so nostalgic and I love that this one is a little different than the original red + white car but is just as sturdy and so much fun. We currently have the floor board in and the side door locked so we can push George around + have no worries about him falling out! Once he is moving those little drumsticks even more, we will remove the floor board and open that door. I will say though, he is so happy being pushed around in his new whip. Little Tikes Dino Cozy Coupe
-Balls: All kinds of balls! His current favourite is daddy’s golfballs and a large bouncy ball we snagged from Dollarama. I don’t know a child who doesn’t like to bounce, throw, roll, or catch a ball. Endless entertainment. It’s been very humid in Toronto lately so we’ve been trying to lay low inside and work on GBB’s pitch. He’s actually pretty good! We have a Jr Jay on our hands, I think.
–IKEA Toy Cars: Another IKEA toy that I absolutely adore. I wrote about these cars in George’s Easter basket post (you can check it out here) and they have definitely become favourite. GBB will push them around and try to throw them and he makes he most adorable “vroom” sound too! It kinda makes my heart hurt with love (does that even make sense? ANYWAY). He’s so smart. Baby genius, you guys. Baby genius. IKEA Toy Cars
