I was thrilled to partner with Elevation Pictures for the release of the super cute “Shaun the Sheep Movie”! It’s available for purchase today! Yay! Happy Tuesday!
I don’t know if you’ve seen “Chicken Run” or “Wallace and Gromit” (which are equally cute + incredibly unique) but the creators of those gems made a movie based off the kids’ television show “Shaun the Sheep” and it is adorable. Adorable!
One of the things I was most excited about when I was pregnant was being able to indulge in kids movies. Ha! I mean, I always watched kids movies anyway BUT now I can really watch them + enjoy the experience. Bring on all the animated films.
I wasn’t familiar with “Shaun the Sheep” but oh my goodness, you guys! He’s so cute. His flock is so cute. And they get into quite a bit of mischief!
As we’re in the crazy midst of packing up our apartment (boxes everywhere!), it was so lovely to sit on the couch with my sweet baby + watch this movie. George actually watched a few minutes of it (I didn’t want his little eyes to watch too much!) and I think because there is hardly any dialogue in the film (just sounds!), it was the perfect movie to watch with him! Similar to “Chicken Run” and “Wallace and Gromit”, the animation is unique and so visually stunning; it was incredibly detailed, colourful, and so heartwarming. Ugh, love this movie.
^boxes, boxes, boxes!
So. I immediately knew I would love this movie because of how cute the animals were. And the jokes were great and adults will love them; some really great pop culture references pop up throughout the movie. I, personally, have a serious love affair with animated movies that feature animals that act like animals but dress up as humans and get away with it!! Seriously, funny stuff.
Shaun the Sheep + the flock decide to take the day off of their work on the farm + they make their way to the big city for some fun. They need a break from the ‘day-to-day’ grind. I get it, Shaun the Sheep, I get it. And the mischief they get into! And the problems they solve! They’re some seriously brave sheep! And oh so cute!
My heart strings were tugged quite a bit throughout the movie + I let out some good ol’ fashioned giggles. I am so pleased that we own this movie + can enjoy it forever! And you can too! Yay!
I held a giveaway on Instagram (@holbowman) because I wanted to start my holidays early + right! Thank you to everyone who entered the giveaway; I wish I could gift you all with a copy!
