Nine months was a HUGE month for miss Eloise Belle. She cut her fifth tooth, she started to solidly crawl all over the place (and so quickly!!), and she learned how to clap!
Her clap is easily one of my favourite things. Ellie’s sweet chubby hands which are almost always sweaty make me so happy–I don’t think I’ll ever get over dimples on baby hands.
It is hard to believe this is the last month of Eloise being in a single digit. This year is flying by + I am in this weird bittersweet place of wanting her to stay little forever with her cheeky, toothy grin and pride watching her grow and change and her personality starts to show more + more. I’ve said it once, heck, I’ve probably said it SO MANY TIMES, motherhood is a trip.
Eloise is rocking 9 month clothes and can still wear 6 month pants…I mean, she isn’t the longest baby in the world. She is wearing size 4 diapers and is the funniest little chicken in the world. She is so super smiley.
This month, Eloise experienced her first Halloween and trick or treat adventure + her very first train ride. She was incredible with both these things and it helps that Ellie loves hanging out in the Ergo baby. This definitely makes my life so much easier too!
Eloise, my little darling, you love: nursing and cuddles with mama, smiling and hanging with daddy, anything and everything your brother does, says, touches (you are his biggest fan!!), watching the cat + trying to grab his tail, putting EVERYTHING in your mouth, eating food, bath time, giving kisses, and clapping. Eloise, you love music + your new favourite song is “Doe a Deer” from the Sound of Music.
Ellie, my sweet munchkin, you do not love: having your diaper changed, long car rides, waiting for food/to be nursed/anything really. You’re also not the biggest fan of having things taken from you–unfortunately your brother is quite invested in not sharing anything at the moment + you have to suffer because of it. Sorry honey.
These nine months have been the most incredible months of my life–so challenging and hard and beautiful and blissful and I am so deeply grateful to be your mama Eloise. You and your brother make me the happiest and most proud mommy ever.
I love you sissie.
