Holy moly, nine months. Already! Time slow down, pretty please.
GBB, my darling son. You are chomping on some solid foods (a mix of purees + a few snacks here and there), scooting everywhere, giggling up a storm + you’re starting to sleep longer solo at night AND occasionally surprising mommy with the solo daytime nap.
George, you are obsessed with the cat and your face lights up when he saunters into the room. I wish Charles wasn’t such a jerk sometimes. You want to pull his tail, ears, face, everything but you’ve been doing so well petting him softly and gently. I so hope you two can be the best of friends.
You love playing peekaboo, being tickled, and my personal favourite is your love of a good slow reveal–when we open the door slowly or peep around a corner…you literally can’t contain your excitement. It’s the best! Arms flapping, mouth tightening, eyes widening. Oh George, you bring me so much joy.
^ UM, those chicklet teeth.
^my silly + busy boy
You’re sweet + hilarious. Lately we’ve been having some incredible laugh attacks + I always end up in tears. So many happy tears. I also tear up pretty hard when I watch you sleep. You’re an angel.
You’re wearing size 4 diapers and size 9 months clothing but I have a feeling you’re going through a growth spurt…GBB you can’t get enough of your mommy these days + I am not complaining!
George, you are working on your wave–we almost have it down + your ability to mimic the sounds I make is unreal. And you have a collection of the cutest faces; your blue steel is my favourite.
These past nine months have been the very best months of my life. I really need to get started on planning your, gulp, first birthday party (cue mama meltdown!). Oh, and make a dent in your baby book…ha, I wish I was kidding
^daddy’s mini me
You, my sweet chubba chub, LOVE: nursing, bath time with daddy, mum-mums + puffs, prunes + green beans, Charles the cat, your toy cars, reading books, listening and dancing to music, mommy’s singing, welcoming daddy home (it’s adorable because you hear his truck backing into the driveway + then stare at the back door!), putting everything in your mouth, scooting backwards + forwards, playing peekaboo, clapping, the occasional Curious George episodes, going for walks, being worn, cuddles, kisses, and hugs.
You, my darling baby boy, DO NOT LOVE: waiting for food, being tired, being re-directed away from un-baby proofed items (mommy + daddy really need to get on that!), and long drives in the car (although, you are getting better and better at being in your car seat!).
Thank you George for changing my life. I’ve never been happier or felt more fulfilled. I am so proud of you and we love you through + through.
XO
