Being Canadian, I am so fortunate to have a year off of work for maternity leave. I feel even more fortunate because I get to spend my summer with our new little babe + enjoy every ounce of sunshine I can get. I think the last time I had the ability to enjoy the outdoors during summer must have been in high school, ha. So, like I said, I feel very fortunate.
I used to spend summers up at my aunt + uncle’s amazing cottage; playing with my sister + cousins and enjoying comic books (hello, Betty + Veronica!), days by the lake, and reading great books in the early mornings and right before bed. Those memories make me so nostalgic and I have been craving pleasure reading time, big time.
Finding the time to read (even if only a chapter) really does something for me. With that being said, I decided this was the year I was going to create a Summer Reading 2015 List and actually READ!
I’ve referenced some of these titles in past blog posts + if you’re following me on Instagram (@holbowman), you’ve probably noticed, I’ve started my list!
Love List: Summer Reading 2015;
-The Girl on the Train, Paula Hawkins
-The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, Marie Kondo
-Tides of Honour, Genevieve Graham
-Eight Hundred Grapes, Laura Dave
-Inside the O’Briens, Lisa Genova
-Luckiest Girl Alive, Jessica Knoll
What are you reading? I’d love to hear your suggestions; post them in the comments below + I’ll be sure to add them to my list!
