Time is flying + life has been so busy! As you know, we moved and it seriously has been a game/life changer. I have never been happier to do laundry and do dishes, which seems like a ridiculous statement but after nine years of not having laundry in my immediate home has been nine years too long! Now I wash all the things.
With Christmas only 4 sleeps away, we have been starting + finishing up our shopping, wrapping, and I need to get started on a second round of holiday baking. The holidays are really more fun with a little one + although I am not quite as efficient in the above mentioned activities, it has been a blast. Ugh, I am truly living the life you guys.
So. Months four and five are a totally different world and some of the products below have been mentioned previously but have come in EXTRA handy these last weeks, so it was only the most obvious thing to mention them again…mostly because they have saved my butt.
Sophie the Giraffe: Yes, what everyone says is true: Sophie is the best. Sophie has been having a seriously rough week with George drooling and gnawing at her head all day ‘err day, but better her than my nips! Her little squeaks make GBB smize (smile with his eyes FYI) and he just loves her. Sophie for the win! Sophie the Giraffe.
Elegant Baby Cotton Knit Blanket: I won’t say too much about this blanket because you guys know how much I love this blanket (especially because it’s monogrammed; heart eyes for days!) but I especially love this blanket because it has kind of become “GBB’s blanket”. This sounds obvious, but what I mean is that I wasn’t sure if my baby would be the one to “have” a blanket for security or as a buddy and it seems to be that this super warm and super soft blanket has become one with little dude. We use it at every nap time/sleep time, we always wrap him up in it for the car rides, and when I’m wearing him outside! I wrap it around my Ergo and keep him nice and toasty (and fashionable!). EB Cotton Knit Blanket.
Camilia Teething Tubes: When I posted all about GBB being the Drool King (you can read about it here), I had mentioned this product but had not used it on George yet. I had used it with my little sister-in-law when she was a wee thing + it helped her. I was curious to see if it would help George in the same way. I am so happy + relieved to know that when we have to use the Camilia tubes, he loves it and it brings relief to his swollen gums. Oh, and did I mention that he POPPED a tooth?! It’s pretty amazing + Hubs and I are so proud of him being such a champion. Camila Teething Tubes.
Jolly Jumper: I think my son is the best jolly jumper ever. The air he gets is unreal and it brings him so much joy! He’s getting a little big now so I don’t know how much longer we will be able to play with it but it is probably his second favourite thing to do every day (after nursing, of course!). This is a serious must have for all babies! Jolly Jumper.
Ergo Carrier: I know I mentioned this in my three month must haves post (you can read it here) but it had to mentioned again because truthfully, it has saved my mama butt on multiple occasions over the last two months. If you’re looking for a great carrier or want to be the best gift-giver ever, do not walk, RUN and get an Ergo 360. GBB has been rocking it out front facing and loves to look around AND I discovered how to breastfeed in it and it has changed my life. Ergo Carrier.
Wubanub Little Lion: So, GBB is not a soother fan. He’s not necessarily anti-soother but he’s not obsessed as much as I would like him to be. He likes the real goods, if you know what I mean ;). A few weeks ago I sent Aaron on a hunt for three more different types of soothers (at that time, we had already tried three other ones) and I had heard from my sis that the Wubanub may be the ticket! Now, although George doesn’t always suck on the little lion pacifier (he’s more of a chewer), he has found a friend in this Wubanub and it has saved my life in the car! He plays + babbles with Little Lion in the car seat and he enjoys chewing on him so it has definitely become a favourite. I think if I had introduced it earlier to him, he would have loved it. Wubanub Little Lion.
Elegant Baby Raccoon Aviator Hat: You all know how much I adore Elegant Baby products and I can’t get over this sweet hat. I’ve mentioned it before, I know, but I think the bigger George gets the cuter this hat becomes! I can just stare at him wearing this hat; too cute + is keeping his little noggin nice and warm now that winter is rearing it’s head (and I would like a White Christmas, please!!!). EB Raccoon Aviator Hat.
Chewelry Teething Necklace: (pictured below!) I was lucky to be sent a super sweet teething necklace from my new friend Martina at Two Brothers And Olivia (IG @twobrothersandolivia) and it has been super helpful! Not only is it cute but it also helps keep George focused on nursing (my little dude is so interested and curious about the world around him that he often gets distracted, ha!) and he can play with the necklace while he eats + falls asleep. It’s also great because he likes to chew on everything and this is the perfect thing to gnaw on while I’m wearing him. Thank you Martina for the lovely gift. Two Brothers and Olivia.
What are some of your favourite baby products?! I’d love to hear from you; especially for the upcoming months! I’d like to be a little prepared (haha!).
And always, thank you for reading!
