Now that George Bear is 16 months old, our life (and daily routine) are very different than it once was (I wrote about our day-to-day schedule back when GBB was 8 months old; you can read it here).
George is much more active and as I’ve been trying to balance my work from home job and being a stay at home mama (balance, what?), it’s so important that we have a schedule + a (flexible) routine. I try to read George’s indicators to see if he’s sleepy–mostly because fighting a toddler to sleep is not a battle I want to have (plus his sleep is pretty routined naturally!). I mentioned in this post that he is down to one nap a day, so that is relatively helpful in terms of planning morning activities/work/life.
But when it comes to getting work done, posts written, emails checked, and the little life things that are needing my attention daily (ugh, I’m looking at you dishes!), I lose track of time + find I hardly get anything done. This is no bueno my friends, no bueno.
With George in daycare two mornings a week, it gives me a chance to get work done (and I am hella-efficient lemme tell you) but because of our new (much more) structured days, I need to know the time, like, always.
For example, we typically eat breakfast between 8-8:30am, lunch at 12-12:30pm, and dinner between 5-6pm. Nap is always at 1pm + bedtime is between 7-8pm. And even though I am a fairly structured person, I never really put in a schedule with GBB until I realized that holy moly toddlers are busy bees + they need scheduled activities (even if that means designated playtime outside–on non-daycare or playgroup days, we go for a walk/to the park/run around in the backyard between 10-10:30am which is right after snack time)! See? It all seems like so much to remember + keep track of, I get slightly overwhelmed when I think about it.
Aaaaaand this is where I’ve become a slave to the clock.
But let’s be real for a second. If this is the watch that I have to constantly look at, then sign me up for forever clock slavedom. Because, have you ever seen such a unique + gorgeous watch?
JORD wood watches are so awesome–the perfect compliment to my daily mom-iform.
I’m obsessed with my JORD Frankie Zebrawood + Champagne watch (you can check out their ladies watches here and their mens watches here) because it is unlike anything I’ve ever worn before. This timepiece is unique, sleek, and really adds a little somethin’ somethin’ to my every day look of jeans + a tee. I love the size and champagne colour of the watch face + although it looks like a heavy statement piece, it is actually quite lightweight (perfect for my little wrists!) and I love the texture the wood brings to my look. I’m obsessed you guys.
When I am running around doing errands, dropping George off at daycare, blogging, and working, my JORD wood watch keeps me on time + feeling effortlessly stylish. Thank goodness for JORD because I was thisclose to losing my mind, ha.
Aaaaaaand because my new friends at JORD are so flippin fabulous, they want to hook you up with a chance to win a $75 coupon towards a JORD wood watch of your very own! All entries will receive a $20 coupon…so really, it’s a win no matter what. Hey–it’s almost the holidays + a beautiful, unique watch is a perfect gift, just saying. You can enter the contest here. Contest ends December 5th 2016! Run don’t walk, my friends!
