Apologies for the silence on #HBXO last week, I felt a tiny cold trying to make it’s way into my life so I took it easy + chilled by my humidifier, took copious amounts of vitamin c, and chugged honey lemon water for two days. Thankfully, no cold actually surfaced and we’re all healthy and back to our (slightly) less tired selves!
The weather has been warmer than usual so I have been de-hermit-ifying (is that a word? if not, it should be!) myself + George and I have been taking a few strolls around our neighbourhood. It is getting me so excited for the spring and summertime. Hubs and I never had a backyard as we were living the apartment life forever, so to say I am pumped is an understatement. I want to BBQ everything.
Anyway.
As it’s the month of L-O-V-E, I wanted to share a few things that I am loving lately!
- Sherlock. Netflix. Do yourself a favour and go watch this now. Honestly, one of the best shows I’ve watched in a long time + Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are the very best duo. Oh, and the show is so beautifully shot. I wish I could re-watch it newly!
- Green & Black’s Organic Dark Chocolate. 70%. It is so good. And I was never a huge fan of dark chocolate, I was all #gimmeallthemilkchocolate but I’m a changed woman. A little nibble of this chocolate with my coffee in the afternoons is pretty much heaven on earth (and by little nibble, I fully mean 6 squares!).
- Glam Glow Supermud face mask. I received this as a Christmas gift from hubs as I was dying to try it + I love it. It’s a face mask made of mud (duh!) and it tingles + leaves my face feeling so fresh. I don’t have the chance to use it as often as I like (because I fully fall asleep most nights while putting GBB down to sleep…#momlife) but I want to start using it weekly because my skin soaks that shiz up. And I feel fancy.
- #Girlboss. This book is so great! I know, I know, I’m super late to the party, but this book really motivates me + is a fun read. I’m allllll about being inspired and this book is definitely doing that!
- Sam Hunt. Um, duh. I love country music and Sam Hunt is a dream boat. I love his album; the songs are so damn catchy + they put me in the very best mood. And did I mention that he’s a dream boat?!
- The Honest Company’s Lavender Vanilla Soy Candle. This candle is so subtle in scent but so incredibly relaxing + amazing. I order it in my bundle monthly because I
am a candle hoarderlove the smell so much. Y’all know how much I love the Honest Co., so I don’t need to blab about how great I think they are (they’re super freakin’ great!). - Love Child Organic Purees. I had (and still have) every intention to make George’s baby food but I had stumbled upon these little squeezie puree pouches at the grocery store and figured I would try a few of the flavours out. Love Child is organic + has the greatest fruit and veggie combinations (and quinoa added too!). GBB and I are fans + trying new food and flavour has been so hilariously fun. George has been eating like a champ (not surprised at all!) + seems to be liking most new flavs but is still quite undecided on sweet potato…he doesn’t seem to like it as much as his mama does!
It’s Superbowl Sunday countdown in our home and I am starting my list of new yummy treats I want to try this year, like this buffalo chicken dip that looks so flippin’ tasty. You can head to my Superbowl Sunday Pinterest board here to see what treats I have my eye on.
Once the game is over on Sunday, I will be 100% focused on Valentine’s day fun. Also, can we please acknowledge how cute this little romper is? It’s on sale + I really hope to get it before Valentine’s day for my little valentine! Aaaaaand how crazy that last year at this time, hubs and I were getting ready to find out if #littlebabybowman was a boy or girl! I remember that day so well, omg, you guys I have a confession to make…I have mad baby fever.
But that’s a whole other blog post in itself.
