I’ve dreamt of holidays with kids and now I get to make those dreams come true! George is still pretty tiny for an Easter egg hunt (although I’m making hubs hide chocolate for us/me) and there was no way I wasn’t going to create an Easter basket for my little love bunny.
I’ve seen so many sweet + alternative options to traditional Easter baskets but truthfully, I’m down with the squeaky cheap wood ones! There’s something so comforting + nostalgic about them!
I filled his basket up with a few things that I knew he would love!
IKEA vehicles: These can actually be taken apart and re-arranged into other cool cars but we’ll probably keep them as is until dude is a little bigger…or maybe daddy will play with them, ha.
Playtex “Sipsters” Sippy cup: I so wish target was still open in Canada because they always have the most fun festive sippies… ANYWAY seeing as George is super into drinking out of a cup, I thought I’d try this sippy out! It says 100% leak-proof. I’ll be the judge of that one Sipter…
The Bunny Rabbit Show book: Sandra Boynton books are a favourite around here (we’ve loved Moo Baa LaLaLa since GBB was very little!) + I thought this cute book would be a perfect addition to our ever-growing library!
That’s Not my Lamb book: I’m also SUPER into Usborne books and “That’s Not my Lamb” is perfect for little ones! It is a touchy-feely book and it is filled with different textures for little ones to enjoy + simple pictures for little eyes (a post all about what GBB is reading will be on the blog soon!).
Love Child Organics Food Squeezies: GBB is a little too tiny for chocolate and y’all know how much I love this company + I thought I’d throw a few pouches in (our current favourites are this one and this one).
Bunny Stuffie: Oh stuffed animals! This little bunny has actually already been baby handled as I bought it primarily because George grabbed it off a shelf and chewed the tag something fierce. Ha. I bought it from a local dollar store.
Miracle Bubbles: I couldn’t NOT! I mean, bubbles are totally spring time! Right?! I remember my Easter baskets consisting of bubbles and chalk + usually a jump rope. Ugh, my mom always rocked out our baskets. ANYWAY. George may not be blowing bubbles but mama sure can + I know he will get a total kick out of watching the float and pop. I can’t wait!
I’m also super into these crayons + this chalk. Definitely on my list for next year’s basket ;)
We will be spending Easter Sunday with the big Bowman clan and I am incredibly excited to celebrate George’s first Easter with such a warm and loving family. Anddddd there’s an Easter egg hunt for the kiddies + I’ve been telling GBB all about it; he’s super pumped ;)
Have a wonderful long weekend! Happy Easter!
XO
