Four months have just flown by and our darling Eloise is getting bigger + bigger. She is the ultimate dream baby and we are over the moon in love with her. Truly, all three of us are just so in love with her. Eloise has really brought such a sweet vibe to our fairly boisterous + chaotic household. Her smile lights up our rooms and we all can’t get enough of her hilarious mullet-hair.
Hubs wants me to trim it because it really is quite the friar tuck hair do but I refuse. It’s just going to grow in + to be honest, the idea of one day looking back and giggling and smiling (and let’s be honest here, crying) about how sweet it is/was.
Ellie has tried the jolly jumper (loves it, just like her big bro!), can sit in the bumbo, and has been rolling from her back to her front. Sis has a pretty strong grip + is super interested in grabbing onto anything and everything–special shout out to my hair (ow!). I think we are officially in teething land + I almost (almost) forgot about how brutal it is for babies. Eloise is a drooling machine and is blowing bubbles like it is her job. Now I just have to find where I put all her bibs…
This little sweetheart is also chatting up a storm and her coos are adorable (and loud!). Our daily conversations bring me a lot of joy. She is so funny and smiley. Oh, and she knows she is funny…
We have now moved into 6 months clothes + there are so many cute 3 month outfits that I hadn’t had a chance to put her in so I may squeeze her into them and take a few photos, ha. I wish I was kidding. I am super excited for the darling bathing suit for sissie that I have tucked away in the closet. I totally wish it came in my size!
Eloise, my sweet sissie girl, you love: cuddles + nursing with mama, chats + cuddles with daddy, GEORGE (he is literally you favourite person, ever–you watch him in complete awe + it’s magic!), gripping and playing with your toys, sleeping in the bed with mama (and the whole freakin’ family, let’s be real), laughing, the jolly jumper, watching the cat, music, and our daily living room dance parties.
Ellie, my darling sweet peach, you do not love: being in the car seat for long trips, the start of bath time, and waiting for mama to pick you up/feed you/change you (you are totally impatient like your mama, ha!). Oh, and gas. You definitely do not love that.
My heart is so full for this little lady. I think I have mentioned it before, but I totally thought I was going to be a straight up boy mom (and I would have loved that too, of course!) but I never realized how special + magical + swoon worthy it is to have a little baby girl. Watching her grow and show her sweet demeanour more and more has become a true highlight of my life + I count my lucky stars each and every night for my sweet Eloise Belle.
What a privilege it is to be your mommy Ellie, thank you for choosing me. Daddy, George, and I love you more than I could ever put into words. It almost hurts me how much I love and adore you (and your brother!). I am so excited to see what adventures we go on as a family of four this summer. EEEE! Family of FOUR! It will never get old. I promise.
