Gosh, how time flies with babies. How it flies even quicker with the second.
I am filled with so much intention to be better at getting blog posts up + on time. I’m hoping now that George’s third birthday has come and gone, I can relax a bit + get myself in a better writing schedule. Before I update you on the incredible-ness of our sweet Ellie, I really want to express my gratitude to each and every one of you who takes the time to read my posts–whether you’ve been hanging with my little fam since the beginning or this is your first time visiting HBXO. Thank you.
SO.
Eloise is FIVE months old + we’re right on the heels of her half-birthday. Oh hey, time. Slow the eff down, please. Ellie is such a sweet peach–her calm demeanour is literally perfection + a fabulous compliment to our busy three year old (THREE YEAR OLD!!). She is wearing size three diapers and rocking clothes that are 3-9 months depending on the fit. Her rolls are getting juicer + juicier and her mullette is getting longer and longer…ha. Hubs wants to trim her hair so bad but I just…can’t. I don’t know why I’m so obsessed with her hilarious hair–probably because I know she is going to be like 16 tomorrow + have luscious hair + she’s going to basically be moved out + I’m not ready for any of it. I am not an ounce dramatic, right?!
This month:
- Ellie visited the beach for the first time AND had a good ol’ faceplant in the sand…which she remained completely chill about as I frantically tried to get the beach out of her eyes/nose/mouth. Hubs totally won daddy of the year LOL.
- Sis cheered on the Jays for the first time anddddd again, was the freakin’ best. And so dang cute. She really rolls with the punches–we’re so thankful for it too because holy moly GBB was incredible at the game until he wanted to keep getting up + down from his seat. PS thank you ice cream.
- Eloise has started teething + it breaks my heart. I almost forgot how brutal teething was…almost. Luckily, camilia homeopathic drops really helps her!
- Ellie has started to become REALLY interested in food and we will be starting with some purees on her six month birthday—I am going to start with veggies and avocado. I’m hoping to make them myself!
- Sissie can sit up pretty well + is really obsessed with watching George when he’s playing. I seriously can’t wait to watch them play together. It’s already so sweet, I can’t even handle how much sweeter it will be.
- Elle said her first word. Yep. She said “mama” and even though I was pretty sure she was just saying that while drooling + eating her hands BUT Hubs, George, and I heard + saw her say “mama” in my direction + to get my attention. So. Basically, genius baby. And I’m thrilled she said “mama”!!!! GBB said “dada” first so I was kinda hoping, haha. Now we’re tied. We’ll have to see what our future third child says to break the tie ;)
Eloise, my sweet angel, you LOVE: your big brother (so much!), nursing + cuddles with mama, staring + smiling at your daddy (oh he is SO wrapped around your finger, he almost doesn’t even know how much!), watching + squawking at Charles, watching anyone and everyone eat food, to grab at everything, the bath (which is awesome because for awhile there you weren’t a huge fan! I think going to the pool helped with your increased love to splash), being worn in the Ergo, giggling, smiling, and your flamingo toy.
Sissie, my peach pie, you DO NOT LOVE: long car rides + not being able to see me face on. I think this might be the only thing you do not love because you’re the most easy going angel but yeah, you really don’t seem to like the car + I’m hoping it’s just a phase because holy moly, it breaks my heart being stuck in traffic and unable to comfort you. We’re both always so sweaty by the time we get to our destination. Oh, and you totally don’t like to wait for me to nurse you. It’s like, you’re not hungry and then BAM! starving. I mean. I totally feel you because I also love food but you go from 0-60!
Your daddy + I and your sweet big brother are so obsessed with you. When I ask George who is on our team (holla team Bowman!) he always lists you first. Even before himself. He is the most proud brother and I’m so thankful that you two have one another.
Happy five months you deliciously sweet + perfect angel baby girl. We love you.
