FALL! If you’ve been following this little blog of mine for awhile now, you’ll know that I’m in serious love with this season. It just makes me so dang cozy + inspired.
I almost think of Fall as more of a new year than January, probably because of school starting?!
ANYWAY.
I’ve been meaning to post our Fall Bucket List for weeks now (sorry!) and I’m thrilled I can finally share some of the adventures that my little family + I hope to venture on this fall season. Also, can we just acknowledge the fact that I will have a 9 month old next year AT THIS TIME?! Ahhhhhhh.
Our Fall Bucket List 2017 (in no particular order):
– go to the Orchard with my sister’s family in Embrun, Ontario + ride the wagon (yay to doing this for a second year in a row! love traditions so much!)
– enjoy Thanksgiving with my Ottawa family
– decorate (with cool Halloween stickers) and carve pumpkins (you can see in the picture below that George + his cousin Aria painted a few pumpkins over the long weekend and they were freaking so cute with each other, gahhh I love cousin love)
– visit a pumpkin patch + choose the best pumpkins ever AND EAT ALL THE PUMPKIN DONUTS. They’re so tasty + I’m drooling just thinking about it
– drink as many caramel apple ciders and decaf pumpkin spice lattes as my bladder can handle
– make Halloween pancakes
– decorate the house + front step with pumpkins/Halloween decor
– read new Halloween books with George (and the library is the best for this!!)
– make GBB’s Halloween costume (I really need to get on this + I can’t wait to share it with you all!)
– family fall walks to the park + crunch all the leaves on our way there and back
– make pumpkin muffins
– watch Hocus Pocus (on repeat!) and I really should note, that I usually start watching this movie daily on October 1st BUT a certain someone decided to put jam a handful of coins into our DVD player sooooo I HAVE YET TO WATCH and I’m basically going crazy
– make monster mash popcorn + enjoy once the toddler goes to bed/no sharesies
– make apple crumble (Hubs loves it + I think baby girl would definitely be down for a bowl of it with ice cream…)
– wear chunky knits and cute scarves + my uggs that I am still obsessed with because I clearly still live in 2004
– have football on the tv on Sundays but really sit on my phone + pin everything on Pinterest + buy all the LipSense colours possible
– buy and eat Halloween candy + save the smarties for little dude because they’re his favourite/bribery…errr, I mean…
– have cozy date nights in with hubs and watch new television series OR BETTER YET BINGE WATCH STRANGER THINGS SEASON TWO and THE CROWN (although that comes out December 8th so that’s more of a holiday bucket list item but I’m just so excited because that show is the tops!)
– light candles + get cozy in all the blankets on the couch AKA never leave the couch
– decorate little Halloween gift bags + make Halloween cards for close family and friends
– rake the yard + jump in all the leaves
– chug drink hot chocolate like it is my job
– start + finish two books this fall season
– continue to minimize my closets/house + only surround myself with items that bring me joy (I really like doing this in the Fall + it’s probably because it’s like my new year…as I mentioned above!)
– listen to my favourite fall playlist with a lot of John Mayer on the side–I legit, can’t stop listening to him?! Is this a pregnancy thing?
I’m sure there are a ton more things that George and I (and Hubs) will do this festive fall season. George is getting much more interested in arts and crafts + is less interested in running around trying to smear paint/draw on the walls so I am already thinking up some fun craft projects that we can do with some pretty outdoor leaves! Do you have any suggestions?! I’d love to hear them! I mean, look at the concentration of these two munchkins with their pumpkins. I just love them so much I could flippin’ burst.
What’s on your bucket lists?! Happy Fall y’all!
