These past two months have flown by. I can’t believe that George will be 10 months old this month! He is on the move + my days are getting busier and busier but I wanted to share my must haves for the last few months. Not included in this list is coffee, coffee, and coffee ;) (always a must have in my book!).
IKEA Bibs: You all know how much I love IKEA + their kids stuff are, no joke, some of my favourite items we use with George. We use these bibs at every meal; they’re plastic + SO easy to wipe clean. I hang them to dry and they’re so durable (they withstand GBB’s chewing + pulling). And anything that gives me less laundry gets a HIGH FIVE. IKEA Bibs.
V Tech Go! Go! Tiger: GBB got this little tiger for Christmas + he’s always liked it but lately, he LOVES it. Tyrone the Tiger is a super cute, plastic, lots of noise-making toy that I originally hated because ugh, plastic noisy toys however, this little guy is really becoming one of my favs. George army crawls after him + swats him around the house. It’s pretty cute. V Tech Go! Go! Tiger.
Little People Farm Animals: I’ve mentioned in previous posts how much George loves his Elegant Baby bath toys + carries those all around the house. No, the only downside of the bath toys being played with in the living room is that there are often times when water is still in the squirties + it makes a mess/George drinks the stale water out of them (with a huge grin, ha!). So. We leave his bath buddies in the bathroom. With that being said, I recently introduced little dude to the world of Little People + he adores them. His favourite right now is the rooster and it’s just the freaking cutest how he clutches onto his little farm animals with all his might. Baby white knuckling may be one of my favourite things ever, ha. Little People Farm Animals.
Boogie Wipes: George recently got his first runny nose + these things are lifesavers! I mentioned in a previous must have post (you can read it here) that these were the sidekicks to my Nose Frida snot sucker when GBB was younger. Well, now that George is bigger (and stronger!), he is super not interested in having any snot sucking action go down. So. These have been my jam. And typically I’m all about that unscented life, but the grape boogie wipes smell so good. Like, the really sickly, delicious, grape-scented rubber balls from elementary school (if you were in elementary in the 90s, you know what I’m talking about!). Boogie Wipes.
Gerber Baby Puffs: I was very hesitant about these snacks at first. I don’t like how they’re pretty fluffy in nutrients but I figured, hey, it’s good pincer grasp practice for George and they dissolve incredibly fast (so that helps soothe my annoying solid food choking fear). GBB has become so great with feeding himself (we’ve been slowly introducing steamed broccoli, egg yolk, etc, along with his purees!) + his concentration is out of this world adorable! He’s pretty amazing with that pincer grasp + he seems to have mastered the toddler tweak…my poor nips, ha. Gerber Baby Puffs.
Safety First Outlet Covers: Oh, how baby proofing has become my life these days. I am thankful we live in a bungalow + do not have to worry about stairs but man, this dude is super interested in outlets, cords, and getting into a whole bunch of mischief. He is incredibly curious + I love that about him but it also calls for outlet covers and cupboard door locks! George is on the move and very active (and he’s sooooo quick too!), and I want him to be able to freely explore the house with no fear of anything going crazy if I step into the kitchen for my third cup of coffee. Safety First Outlet Covers.
I’d love to hear what products you + your family must have, especially for the upcoming months! Each month is a whole new world + any chance I can get to be more prepared, the better.
