Girlfriend is eight months and lordieeeee she is on the move, hard. Never have a I met a baby who has this much FOMO. Ellie wants to do what her big bro is doing + she wants to be where he is too. It’s amazing and incredible and holy moly, I’m tired. LOL.
Eloise has four teeth and loves food. Like, there is not a food sissie doesn’t like. It’s been really fun slowly moving away from purées + giving her more textured food to try. Andddd honestly this girl can’t wait to throw down a slice of pizza–every time I eat anything, I have lil sis just staring me down with her big ol peepers.
Size four diapers + size 9 months clothes (which are still a little long in the leg…) and Elle is growing like a weed. I was looking back at baby pictures of her and just in awe of how tiny she used to be. Time really goes by so fast + SO MUCH FASTER the second time around. Ugh, I could cry when I think about it.
Eloise still nurses like a champ + we’re still co-sleeping (shoutout to the whole family who sleeps in the king bed–whaddup my back is busted but the cuddles are amazing). I’m finding our nursing sessions to be so short and wayyyyy more spaced out than her brothers were. Crazy how different my two munchkins are. They’re so different. In all the best ways.
Sis is totally stuck to mama like glue these days and is probably the chattiest (and loudest!!!) baby I’ve ever met. She squawks and squeals and really tells the world what is up. I admire her outspokenness and I was very surprised by how incredibly intentional she is in her noises. When she doesn’t get food fast enough, you’ll hear about it! Ha. She’s the best.
Eloise, my sweet darling girl, you LOVE: nursing + cuddles with mama, hanging out with daddy, playing with your brother + crawling around after him, eating food, being in the ergo (still loving those naps in there–my poor back, haha), music, watching + petting the cat, putting foreign objects in your mouth, and bath time. You love hugs and kisses and you have the most incredible smile.
Sissie, my beautiful daughter, you DO NOT LOVE: diaper changes, getting dressed/undressed, long car rides, waiting to be fed–whether that’s at your high chair or when I’m nursing you, having a toy taken away from you, or when we have to stop you from doing something–like, chewing on something you shouldn’t. Whyyyyy must everything go in your mouth!?
Eloise Belle, you are literally perfect. You are the most incredible baby girl + I am beyond grateful that I am your mama. You have taught me so much in these last eight months and I love you more than words could ever say. You’re the kindest soul and a bright light. I love you.
