Yay! It’s December! I am so excited to share this month’s Boss Babe of the Month.
Janice is one of my dear friends who is not only hilarious + beautiful, but she is an incredible mama and devoted wife, and y’all–she runs her very own daycare + loves on littles with all her heart. I am so excited to share and celebrate Janice + this is the best month to do it because she is a total Christmas Elf like me, so–it was kinda a no brainer.
Meet Janice.
Hi everyone! I’m Janice. I was born and raised French Canadian + I am married to a crazy Russian (just kidding, he’s wonderful)! I am a mom to two beautiful girls that keep me busy on top of my 10hr workday of running a home daycare with 5 toddlers. Aaaaaand I love every minute of my crazy busy life. Happy to be there!
I am awake every morning by 6:30/6:45am (depending if I have to wash my hair that day). My routine is I wash up, dress, put the coffee on–I would NOT make it through my day without my coffee…no makeup. Ain’t got time for that LOL! Then I quickly dress my 4 year old for school and wake up my 14 year old. By this time, I head downstairs to welcome 5 toddlers that are dropped off between 7:30am-8am. I immediately start making breakfast for everyone which is served by 8/8:15am.
Seeing as I am also raising a teenager, this question hits home.
I tell my daughter everyday to go for her goals! She can do anything if she works hard and stays focused on her dream! As a teen, there are so many “distractions” that can pull you away from your goals and send you down the wrong path. I know as I’ve been there so I give my daughter the advice I wish I would’ve been given…or rather taken.
Thankfully in the end, our mistakes also make us who we are and I think I turned out pretty okay ;)

I tend to handle my “funks” pretty head on for the most part. I like challenges…not that I want problems. However, in the moments of stress or I am worked up (and if it’s after hours), I always love a glass of red wine to take that edge off. I like to list out my problems and put the situation down on paper and work it out so I can visualize and organize what to do. I do better with lists…a bit of my organizational OCD ;)
Because of my job, my new favourite quote that I love was given to me by one of my daycare families: “It takes a BIG heart to shape little minds”.

Brazilian Bum Bum Cream–makes me feel good because it smells so damn good! And not over the top perfum-y. I don’t wear a lot of makeup but always love a good mascara (my current favourite is from Benefit!) that’s not chunky and that gives that extra length.Eeeee! How stinking fun is this post?! Honestly, ladies, I can’t get enough of these monthly boss babe features because it makes my heart sing to feature + celebrate the incredible boss babes in my life.
