Okay. So. I was reluctant to even comment on the U.S political state of affairs because, it’s really not my wheelhouse + because HBXO is my space to inspire and enlighten others–not stir up controversy or create upset. But it is something that has been weighing heavy on my heart this morning.
Here’s the thing.
We are all entitled to our beliefs.
We are all entitled to our opinions.
We are all entitled to our vote–and who you think is the better candidate is up to you.
BUT.
It is important that we all take a step back and remember that our future, our children–they look up to us. They aren’t watching the news/media/debates.
They are watching us. They are observing us. They are learning from us.
Change can be scary and change can be hard to understand. But, let’s (please!) take this opportunity to become aware of our responsibilities to our future.
Let’s continue to teach our children to be kind.
To be responsible.
To dream big.
And to love despite differences.
Let’s be the change that we want to see in the world.
Social media has blown up this morning with upset, disappointment, happiness, confusion, terrible memes, and a lot of hate. Regardless of who is in the White House, let’s not spread hate, fear, and anger.
Let’s rise above it all.
Let’s work harder in our lives.
In our homes.
In our communities.
Our children are watching!
