How far along? 39 Weeks
Gender: Boy
Total weight gain/loss: 44 lbs! (Eee!)
Maternity clothes? YES; mostly maxi dresses & a few non-maternity skirts and flowy shirts.
Stretch marks? That one little mark that showed its face last week…it’s still there but seems to be fading already. Well, that’s what I’m telling myself.
Sleep: Sleep is okay. I love it. Once I’m comfortable, sleep is enjoyable; it’s getting comfy that stresses me out.
Best moment this week: I had a great doctor’s appointment and there’s progress happening so little Baby B can come at any time! AND I got my hair done! A little bit more summery colour and a cut (it had been forever!) so that feels hella-nice!
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? The ability to not be so effected by the heat. I am so thankful that I won’t be pregnant at the height of Toronto summer…holy moly, I don’t think I’d be able to stand it.
Movement: Yes! I wonder how he even has room to move, but he seems to be able to wiggle around a bit still. It will be the weirdest feeling not having a little buddy in my belly kicking me and hanging out in my ribs.
Food cravings: Popsicles! Surprise!
Have you started to show yet: L A R G E and in charge.
Labor Signs: A bit more crampy these days and Braxton Hicks are like my new bestie, but otherwise, feeling good. Feeling insanely aware of my bod these days…
Belly Button in or out? O U T.
Wedding rings on or off? Still off. I’m sure they could fit but I know they’d be snug and I don’t want to risk it.
Happy or Moody most of the time: H A P P Y!
Looking forward to: Meeting our little baby!!!
I literally woke up this week surprised I was pregnant! I know, how is that even possible.
Honestly, this pregnancy has been such a whirlwind and I don’t think I will fully understand how amazing this journey has been until I am holding little baby B in my arms.
The house is scrubbed (there are only a few more surfaces I have left to clean!), bags are packed (stay tuned for my hospital bag post!), and the nursery is done (yes, a mini tour is on its way too). All we need is our little baby!
I’m going to get some baking done this week (hello banana bread muffins!), nap, finish the book I’m currently reading (The Girl on the Train! so good), and start working on my summer 2015 reading list!
