^ FULL TERM, holy mamacita.
How far along? 37 Weeks
Gender: Boy
Total weight gain/loss: 42+
Maternity clothes? Yes, give me all the comfy maternity clothes and flowy pre-preggo clothes! Toronto is getting warmer and I am not getting any smaller :)
Stretch marks? Nope! Woo!
Sleep: Sleep is okay! I am getting up to use the washroom much more frequently (which boggles my mind because I didn’t think it was possible!!).
Best moment this week: I had a great doctor’s appointment and enjoyed my last week at work! This week was really good; felt a lot less stressed. On Tuesday, I had a delicious and lovely dinner with my girls (it was delicious & they are lovely)! The girls indulged in some Veuve and I watched jealously (my all-time favourite drink!). AND Hubs and I finally bought our 4Moms Breeze which I have been dying for. Little baby B is going to sleep in the bassinet part beside the bed for the first little while and I’m thrilled to have it all set up! I can’t believe how soon he’ll be here.
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? I don’t really feel like I am missing anything this week; probably has to do with the fact that the end is so near and I’m starting to miss my bump already. I can’t believe I am full term.
Movement: Yes, but more turns and rolls instead of the little jabs here and there. Still blows my mind every time he moves.
Food cravings: I feel incredibly full these days so I’m not necessarily craving anything. I could still eat Popsicles or flavoured shaved iced all the time; maybe a slurpee or two. And, I am pretty excited about my first cold beer after baby B arrives.
Have you started to show yet: Oh yes!
Labor Signs: Well, I have been experiencing some light cramping (that comes and goes) and Braxton Hicks now and then but nothing too wild. Dr says this baby is in perfect position and next week’s appointment will give us a better prediction on his birthday! Eee! It’s all so real.
Belly Button in or out? OUT. FUDGE-O COOKIE. UGH.
Wedding rings on or off? Off. Sad about it.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Super HAPPY this week! Y A Y!
Looking forward to: My mom, sister, and niece Aria came to visit this past weekend! It was nice to see those girls before I pop, especially the firecracker toddler; my all-time favourite person ever! Oh, and did I mention I am officially on maternity leave soooo now I get to fill my days with relaxing, reading, cleaning, and making over my master bedroom? AND meeting baby B!!! Eee!
^Gorgeous blooms I received from my LD family; so bittersweet to be on maternity leave.
^The most hilarious little toddler ever; it was hard to get a picture of her because she’s such a busy body.
Now that the nursery is almost complete (I need to give it a complete clean again & I promise, a small nursery tour will be posted soon!), I really wanted to give our master bedroom a small overhaul so that our room is also super organized, clean, and more relaxing.
When we first moved into this apartment, I had just started my job at Le Dolci and was super busy. Hubs and I did small things here and there but our bedroom was left as a storage and sleeping space; when we would have people over for dinner, the first thing I would do was close our bedroom door. Definitely not my idea of cozy, romantic, functional, or practical.
With that being said, we are not in a situation where we can go crazy buck wild and buy all new furniture even if we wanted to (which we do…we really really do; I’m looking at you new king size bed!). With the help of my bestie G, we mapped out a way to refresh the master bedroom and give it a more relaxing vibe that is more organized and that flows with the rest of our home.
Last weekend, I started with a small paint job on an old mirror; seriously, nothing beats a fresh coat of paint. I’m also OBSESSED with this colour and now want to paint every thing this amazing shade of grey.
I will be taking a quick trip to Ikea for a few organization pieces and a new side table lamp and hitting up a garden centre for some big leafy palms (that hopefully don’t die on me…damn you black thumb!).
I’m looking forward to getting that all set-up and put together (on top of my lists upon lists of baby preparation things…aka sterilize all things) and completely finish packing our hospital bags. Oh, boy.
