Ahhhh we’re at the 37 week bumpdate!! Holy moly.
Yes, I missed 35 weeks–I mean, it happened but the holidays were so jammed packed + we were pretty go, go, go! Thrilled to finally be back in the semi-swing of things. I have my 36 and 37 Week Bumpdates done without a photo of my 36 week bump. Oh well. My poor second child. I wonder how this will all go for our third ;)
So, I’ll start with my 37 Week bump date + if you want to read about last week, it’s below!
How far along: 37 WEEKS AKA FULL TERM AKA SHIT HAS JUST GOT VERY REAL
Gender: Baby Sister!! Yahoo!
Weight gain: A smidgen over 30 lbs.
Maternity clothes: I’m basically living in my bathrobe + oversized shirts…aka GLAM.
Stretch marks: Same as last week…although I feel baby’s dropped a bit so maybe the belly is stretching somewhere I can’t see. Hashtag, probably.
Belly button in or out: O U T.
Sleep: It’s ok. It takes quite a bit for me to move positions so that’s super annoying and definitely interrupts my sleep. I could always use loads more sleep. Like, lots. I’m also laughing to myself about this because I’m only going to be more tired soon, very soon! Ha.
Best moment this week: Reaching full term is such an accomplishment! I’m overjoyed that I’ve been fortunate to grow a baby for this long–it is such a miracle. I honestly can’t believe she will be here so soon!!
George is officially weaned (yep, I hadn’t really updated y’all on our recent nursing adventures, but December 30th 2017 was his last day of nursing + we were both ready. I am so thrilled I never had to compromise my viewpoints or intentions and he was happy to wean as well!) and it makes me so happy. We had tried a few months back but I was so emotional and not ready yet but I knew it was time and the timing is perfect for a whole new breastfeeding adventure to take place. I wonder how GBB will be when little sissie is getting “nummies” but seeing as we talk about her every day, I’m confident we will make it out alive.
Miss anything: I never thought I’d say this but I miss my body! I didn’t have this thought when I was pregnant with George and I don’t know if it’s because this pregnancy has been more uncomfy or because I feel much more confident about being a mom this time around, but I miss my body! I am super looking forward to getting it back (well, get it back partially, because hello breastfeeding!) + not wearing maternity clothes haha.
Movement: Yep! Loads of movement! Maybe she’ll be a ballerina!!!!
Cravings: Not too much these days. I’m just happy when I’m not chowing down on TUMS…
Labour signs: Braxton Hicks + mild cramping here and there. Eeee!
Looking forward to: Finishing up the nesting TO DO LIST, the final purchases, and getting my bags fully packed, car seat in the car, and of course meeting little missus!! SO SOON, omggggg!

How far along: 36 weeks and on the heels of full term
Gender: Girllll
Weight gain: A teensy bit over 30lbs
Maternity clothes: Yep! And my bathrobe which I’m currently living in because why not.
Stretch marks: I’m sure there are a few where I can’t see…the varicose vein situation is unruly. I was getting a pedicure last week + I was asked if I fell down and bruised my leg…
Belly button in or out: Out. So out there it’s creepy.
Sleep: I’m officially exhausted with a side of nesting. Around 6pm, I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck + find myself falling asleep while sitting up HAHA not for long of course because #toddlermom
Best moment this week: Christmas was pretty magical! George was so excited about Santa and told hubs + I that he heard Santa on the roof! Holidays with little ones really are something else. He was gifted some incredible gifts and we have been playing with his new trucks on his car mat and his new trains and tracks. It’s been so fun watching him play independently and build so many things all by himself.
In addition to the magic of Christmas, we had a growth ultrasound for little missus + she was already weighing in at 6lbs 4oz and has HAIR! I couldn’t even handle how cute she was + oh my word I am so excited to meet her!!!
Miss anything: I miss being able to bend over to pick up things. I miss my mobility the most right now. I really cannot handle how slow I am + how long it takes me to do things, haha.
Movement: Oh yes! Baby girl is doing big stretches and I’m fairly positive I saw her little foot poking out of my side the other day!
Cravings: Water with ice. Gingerale with ice. Cereal (I’m back to eating Cheerios/ no more sugar cereals yuck!). After Eight chocolates.
Labour signs: I added this in this week because we’re getting close to the end (ahhh!) and I have been having loads of Braxton Hicks + actually, last night I was experiencing a tiny bit of cramping SO who knows.
Looking forward to: Meeting our little sweetheart! Gosh, I really need to pack my hospital bag + get the car seat in the car!!
