^I have no idea why I look so serious, ha!
How far along? 29 Weeks
Gender: Boy
Total weight gain/loss: 28lbs +
Maternity clothes? Same as previous weeks but I have been rocking a few more loose springy/summer outfits and loving every minute of it. When I have a bit more time (work has been super busy!) I will be heading out for a little shopping trip to get a few more maxis and stretchy pants & leggings.
Stretch marks? None yet and happy about it. The belly has been getting super itchy (& oh so heavy!) lately so I’ve been cocoa buttering more than normal.
Sleep: Sleep is okayyyy. I am still getting up often throughout the night to run to the bathroom and I’m finding getting out of bed has become a bit more challenging. I also have a hard time finding a good and comfortable position, so once I’m in it, I hardly want to move. I can only imagine what the next 11 weeks will be like.
Best moment this week: I had a wonderful baby shower in my hometown with my family and friends. It was the highlight of my month; this baby and I were spoiled! He is going to be one stylin’ dude hanging out in his new Ergo Carrier (hubs and I are both so excited about this carrier!) and rocking some sweet Freshly Picked crib moccs! Oh, and hubs and I finally went and bought all our nursery furniture (thank you Mom & Granny for buying these essential and oh, so cute pieces!) and put it together. And when I say “we”, I totally mean Aaron. He rocked the furniture building! I will share pics soon, promise.
Have you told family and friends: Oh yes!
Miss Anything? My mobility is something that I totally took for granted pre-pregnancy. I never realized the pure joy of walking, ha. Honestly, I am a really fast walker and I like to hustle but these days, it just ain’t happening. Like, no way in hell. I really have to take my time because I get incredibly out of breath and because this baby boy likes to chill really low. I am in full-on torpedo status!
Movement: Yes! AND I felt baby B hiccup for the first time last weekend! It was so cute.
Food cravings: Hmm..everything? Truthfully, I am really into fruit and milk. And I did have a delicious dream about a chocolate milkshake…I find third trimester hunger is totally and completely different than the last two trimesters. I get so hungry so fast and then I feel like I can’t eat as much as I did before…probably because this little dude is taking up more space, eee!
Have you started to show yet: Torpedo status.
Labor Signs: Nope! Phew!
Belly Button in or out? In-ish. Out-ish. Freakish.
Wedding rings on or off? ON!
Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY but really quick to get emotional over things, ha. Sorry hubs.
Looking forward to: Other than meeting this sweet little dude, I am super excited for my 2nd baby shower at the end of this month! My bestie is coming in from LA and I haven’t seen her since the end of November so I can’t wait to baby bump squeeze her to death!! AND I’m pretty excited to finish up all the fun little details of our nursery! Is it weird/dangerous that I want cacti all over the nursery?
If you follow me on Instagram (@holbowman), you’ll probably have seen some of these gems. I didn’t take as many pictures as I had hoped at my shower; too busy enjoying time with my friends and family.
My aunt ordered this cake for my shower and it was SO CUTE–I actually didn’t eat any (shocked? ya me too!) because I filled up on finger sandwiches and timbit skewers (honestly, I am such a sucker for donut holes).
My sister organized a game where the baby shower guests were to create babies out of PlayDoh and they would be judged (very officially by moi) with categories such as most creative, most realistic, etc.
It was without a doubt that my wonderful aunt (who happens to be an incredible OB/GYN) won the most realistic. I died when I saw this.
I was lucky to spend some time with my mom, dad, sissie and little miss Aria Marie. She is possibly the cutest little lady I have ever met. She is the funniest and most sassy 13 month old. Aria eats like a champ, has the best cackle, and gives the fiercest stink eye I’ve ever seen. I can’t wait for her to meet (and poke!) her little cousin!!
Oh, and how cute is this book? My sissie gifted it to us/baby B and I think it’s just the most hilarious.
