How far along? 26 Weeks
Gender: Boy
Total weight gain/loss: 23 lbs and climbing…
Maternity clothes? Yep! I even wore an outfit this week that was maternity head to toe and let me tell you, comfy as all hell. I am pretty much a tee and jeans type of girl, so that is my go-to outfit preggo or not. Oh, and scarves. And I am getting pretty excited about maxis!
Stretch marks? None yet! Thank you cocoa butter!
Sleep: Sleep is still good. I’ve been getting really tired in the afternoons…I almost fell asleep eating my dinner tonight. It could be a combination of my declining mobility, my decreasing stress of driving, and the fact that I am one week away from the third trimester. How in the eff did that happen? Where is time going?
Best moment this week: I would have to say becoming a pro-driver of our standard car and getting increasingly more confident and less anxious behind the wheel is a super win for me. I have been super duper busy at work which I am grateful for. I work with the best peeps. Oh, and this little dude in my belly may be a bballer…loves to move and shake! I’m sure he’ll be a NCAA Duke fan like his mama and daddy.
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? My energy. Beer (you know which brand I’m talking about). My pre-preggo jeans.
Movement: Oh yes!
Food cravings: Milk (so much milk!). Diet Pepsi with lime. Beer (see above!). Orange juice. Real fruit popsicles (I eat one every night before bed).
Have you started to show yet: HAHAHA yes.
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? Same as last week…getting hella-shallow. I’m scared.
Wedding rings on or off? On! And they’re so beautiful! :)
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to:My baby showers! I have my first shower in Ottawa at the end of this month and I was just sent my invite for my Toronto shower and I’m equally as excited. I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family who are not only planning amazing parties for little baby B but who are also just as excited to meet this little dude. Honestly, he is so loved already and that makes this baby mama teary-eyed.
This week has flown by for me! I feel like my bump has finally settled…what this means exactly, I’m not sure. Baby B is growing up a storm and I couldn’t be more proud of all the hard work he’s doing growing his little body. I cannot wait to meet him.
I’ve noticed this week that my bump is blocking my view to certain body parts that were once very visible at first glance if you know what I mean. It’s fine, obviously, and I had been expecting this to occur at some point but holy moly, there is no way around this baby bump. How do I only have three months left with this beautiful bump? And how in the hell am I almost done my second trimester?
Eeeeee!
Thousands of thank yous for your continued support and love!
Have a wonderful weekend! I have a feeling a small trip to Ikea is in order for the Bowmans :)
