How far along? 24 Weeks
Gender: Boy
Total weight gain/loss: 23 lbs (eeeeee!)
Maternity clothes? Oh yes; again, mostly pants. I’ve been lucky to still wear some of my pre-pregnancy tops. Hubs and I are going to Montreal this weekend and I’m pretty sure we will be doing a little bit of shopping…
Stretch marks? Nope! So far, so good.
Sleep: Sleep is good! I have started to have great sleeps again; but the dreams I’m having are hella-real and so wild. Every morning I wake up and I can’t believe what I’ve been dreaming about.
Best moment this week: Going to the doctor’s and getting to hear baby boy’s heartbeat. It’s always so breathtaking and emotional. Oh, and baby boy’s movement! He is one active fella; maybe he’ll be a baseball player or basketball player.
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? I’m really missing the ability to zip up my winter coat! This bump is only getting bigger and my cute jacket can zip all the way up but it’s super uncomfortable; so I rock it half zipped, like all the cool kids do.
Movement: Yes! A lot of movement from this sweet little dude; each and every time makes me so happy.
Food cravings: Sushi still. Fruit smoothies. Milk. Le Dolci‘s strawberry cupcakes. Orange juice. Chocolate Milkshakes.
Have you started to show yet: This would be a HELL YES. I even had my first experience of a wonderful lady offering me her seat on the bus; I think it was mostly because my jacket wouldn’t zip and I looked incredibly disheveled…it was so weird for me. I am usually the one who is giving up my seat but it was such a welcomed gesture. Thank you kind lady!
Labor Signs: NOPE.
Belly Button in or out? Still in but it’s getting prettyyyyy shallow so I don’t know how this outtie/innie almost outtie situation is going to go down. SCARED.
Wedding rings on or off? On!
Happy or Moody most of the time: I’m happy to say that I’m happy most ALWAYS.
Looking forward to: Hubs and I are heading to Montreal this weekend for a short but sweet babymoon; I am really looking forward to our king-size bed, doing a bit of shopping for both baby and mama, and poutine. Real French Canadian poutine, UGHHHH can’t wait. Oh, and I am super pumped because hubs and I are starting Operation Nursery in April! I’ve been dying to get started on all the fun decor and setting up. I feel like I have so so so much to do (I have so many nesting lists, it’s getting insane!).
I have finally found the perfect nursery inspiration and it was right under my nose! Hubs and I visited the Grand Canyon last year (you can read all about it here) and we purchased these amazing postcards. I can’t wait to put these up on baby’s gallery wall and use them as inspiration for the nursery. I may even put a real cactus in baby’s room! Our little adventurer.
Oh, and how freaking sweet is this baby book from Lucy Darling Shop?! As soon as I saw it on IG, I knew I had to have one! I can’t wait to document our little dude’s firsts! This shop is seriously cute.
As I mentioned above, we have a really fun weekend planned in Montreal! It will be so nice to enjoy alone time together for our last possible vacay as a duo. Eee! Time is flying! Only three months left! I can’t believe it.
Have a wonderful weekend! And thank you thank you thank you for reading and supporting me!
