So, I’m about 15 weeks and 5 days (I basically am always the week + 5 days by the time I post my bumpdates) and time is just flying. We spent the weekend relaxing + getting geared up for camping next weekend. I had a little mama alone time + got my nails done (I can’t even remember the last time I had them done!) and then the three of us hit up Five Guys for burgers and fries and honestly, I couldn’t NOT share this adorable picture of George. He is just such a little ham these days. So silly and chatty and amazing. Oh, I love him so.
Anddddd, the bump. Which I fully understand is very hard to see in this outfit, ha.
How far along: 15 Weeks
Gender: Still very much on the GIRL train but we find out officially at the end of August (which is right around the freakin’ corner!!).
Weight gain: I’d say 5-7lbs, but who knows. I’m not very good at guessing my weight + seeing as I don’t own a scale…
Maternity clothes: Maternity shorts and leggings. Otherwise, I am wearing a whole lotta dresses + jumpsuits. I can’t really handle anything tight around my belly and I’m really looking forward to doing some more maternity shopping soon…I will definitely be snagging a maternity swimsuit for our upcoming canoe camping trip (it’s this long weekend–still so much to do!).
Stretch marks: No new ones!
Belly button in or out: In!
Sleep: Gooooood! I nap most days with George and it’s always very snuggly + sweet. Plus, he’s usually totally zonked from our mornings so we nap for a good 2-3 hours + it’s heaven. I’ve been actually getting into bed much earlier than before and although I toss and turn like crazy, I’m happy to be resting. I figure now that GBB is sleeping through the night, I should “bank” this sleep because in the new year, I will definitely not be sleeping these long stretches. Haha, back to square one.
Best moment this week: Can I say that I got my nails done and it literally made me feel like a brand new woman? CUZ IT DID. Like, it so did. Also, George and I spent our mornings out + about (mostly to High Park Zoo to see the “animos”) and it was pretty dang magical.
Miss anything: Other than my summer wardrobe and a nice cold beer on a hot day, nope.
Movement: None yet but anxious to feel this little babe’s kicks!
Cravings: I’m happy to report that my hunger has spiked but I still don’t have huge must have cravings + it’s driving me bonkers. I am really enjoying oranges (they have to be COLD from the fridge!!) and I eat a bowl of plain Cheerios before bed every night…other than that, I just enjoy food. I seem to be gravitating towards healthier food this round—which is very different than last pregnancy. It may have something to do with not working at a bakery, ha.
Looking forward to: Our canoe camping trip this upcoming long weekend, celebrating our 4 year wedding anniversary, showering my bestie at a small intimate baby shower at mine, and finding out #littlebabybowman2’s gender!! I CAN’T WAIT. August and September seem to be so incredibly busy for us so there really is no slowing down with tons of things to celebrate!
